The house was lovely and offered plenty of space.
“Nicht empfehlenswert, wir waren enttäuscht.”
It was interesting to stay in this old house with a long history, but the room was very cold and the heating couldn’t be turned on. The bed creaked with every movement, and the room was cluttered with furniture, books, and other items, leaving barely any space for our luggage. We booked a room with breakfast, but in the hallway we had to use two old pieces of furniture for the meal, which was very simple—no eggs, toast, or similar. For the price we paid, the breakfast was very disappointing.
“Warm friendly & welcoming”
We were greeted by friendly faces who gave plenty of information about the area. The place was very close to amenities and the town was highly walkable. We watched stunning sunsets over the water, which was again very close. The accommodation was beautiful, super clean, and welcoming.
The owner and staff were friendly, and when my train ran late, Bill waited for me until I arrived; the space felt peaceful, charming, and whimsical, and the decor matched that vibe. It was within walking distance of downtown and Lake Champlain, and the bed and pillows were comfortable with clean, cozy linens.
The location was convenient and the house was nice; we felt welcomed and enjoyed staying in a Victorian house.
