“Grande potenziale ma gestito cosí cosí”
The hotel is extremely quiet thanks to its remote location, has a lot of character, offers plenty of on‑site parking and even serves food on the premises (we didn’t try it, so can’t comment on quality). The pool, however, only opens at 10 / 10:30 am—a detail that isn’t mentioned anywhere on the website—so our plan to take a morning dip before exploring Salento fell through. Breakfast was just okay and rather meagre (the coffee and cappuccinos were excellent, but the pastries seemed pre‑packaged), so we ended up eating at a bakery in Lizzanello, a five‑minute drive away. The bed sagged heavily, and although the room was clean on arrival, it wasn’t spotless; we found a few hairs and dirty tissues left by previous guests. Nothing dramatic, though. The shower supplies consisted of tiny single‑use sachets that weren’t even replaced daily, so I bought a €2 body wash to solve the problem.
