“BON ACCUEIL”
Two units on the same property share a small pool in a lovely garden, about 15 km from the beach and Saint Pierre town. They’re tucked at the end of a narrow, steep cul‑de‑sac (like San Francisco street). The owner’s house is next door, so he isn’t there every day. Stéphane gave a warm welcome with punch and fresh fruit. We stayed in the one‑bedroom house where parking at the bottom is tough—two tight uphill turns to negotiate. In fact, the owner parked our car on the first day. The two‑bedroom unit had easier parking with a spot at the top. We spent a week in that small house, which felt a bit dark, had little dishware, and a tiny iron‑bistro‑style dining table. The description listed many items we didn’t see: oven, barbecue, kettle, ironing equipment, puzzles (maybe some had to be requested from the owner?). The parking was very difficult.
