The room was housed in a historic home, yet it had been updated with a kitchenette that included a microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and all the usual kitchen/dining supplies, plus an ensuite bathroom; the king‑size bed was very comfortable. The Lodge sits about a block from the main intersection, so shops and the lake are just a short walk away. This was our second stay at Lake Huron Lodge and we’ll probably return. The only thing that could have been better was the nightstand lamp, which didn’t provide enough light for reading.

The hotel’s location is fantastic—just a brief stroll to the town, surrounded by a colorful, quiet setting with ample parking. Lexington itself is a charming village on Lake Huron, offering solid restaurants and bars. My room was spotless, cozy, and impeccably maintained, and the digital locks on both the front and back doors added extra peace of mind. A nice touch was the BBQ grill on the front deck. The only drawback was the lack of soundproofing against the neighboring room; though, being in room 6 at the end of the building actually made it quieter than most.
