The beds were excellent and the valet staff were great, but the staff couldn’t make change for a $20, the hotel was terribly understaffed, the power system buzzed in the bathroom, the TV remote’s battery was dead, there was no temperature control, the safe was too small for laptops, the restaurant menu was inflexible for allergies, dust hid under furniture, water stains marred the bathroom fixtures, the lighting was terrible, a room card was needed to turn on power, the minibar replaced a refrigerator, there was no microwave, and the room was extremely overpriced for the amenities and services.

I stayed in a good room with great staff, and the onsite restaurant was incredible for breakfast. Free valet parking was included, which is usually not standard for the cost. The location is ideal for walks to Lovers Point, but the pillows were downy and there was no firm option available. The mini fridge was only available on request, and the shower bottles slide off the shelf without mounts like most hotels have.

A wonderful place to stay while in Pacific Grove. The hotel is beautiful in all respects. The rooms are spacious, well appointed with everything you need. The entire staff is wonderful—helpful, professional and knowledgeable. The hotel is a wonderful new addition to Pacific Grove. Fantastic location—a short walk to restaurants, bakeries, museums, beaches, and the walking/hiking trails.

The walkable location in beautiful Pacific Grove is unbeatable, and the hotel is sparkling clean and well-maintained. The rooms are great with nice amenities and stylish design, and the new restaurant offers great options for breakfast. The only downside is that it’s a pet‑friendly hotel, so it’s unclear whether rooms have had pets in them if you’re allergic or uncomfortable.
