Crisol Regio, a large complex, is located 10 minutes' drive from Salamanca's UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel features a seasonal outdoor pool, gym, free WiFi, and electric vehicle charging. Spacious rooms have private bathrooms, minibars, safes, and air conditioning. Amenities include a restaurant, bar, terrace, basketball and tennis courts, car rental, and free parking, 20 minutes from Salamanca Airport and 15 minutes from Plaza Mayor Square.

Everyone on the team was friendly, helpful and thoughtful, and they all seemed happy to work there. After the first night we switched rooms from the quiet side facing the road, which got no sun, to a corner room overlooking the carpark that was sunny all day. We booked 12 days half‑board to unwind after touring the cities; breakfast was usually plentiful, and we had a late lunch, with dinner not until 20:00. The menu is set for the week and then changes for the weekend. The campsite’s café bar is great, and there’s a launderette on site that costs €3. The village is a lovely place to visit, the bars are reasonably priced, there are a few museums, and a nice park. It would have been nice to relax on the grounds when the weather was hot, but the pool was closed, so the garden area was also closed. It would be good if the TV offered Netflix.

The spot was decent, not too far from Salamanca but you’d need the hourly bus to get there. Parking on the hotel grounds was outdoors, free, and arranged nicely so cars didn’t bump into each other. We stayed twice, each time for two nights. The first visit left us wishing for a table and only one chair, but the second time we got a better room, more spacious, with a table and two chairs.

The place was quiet, but there was no mobile coverage in the room, and the window faced an interior roof with an unsuitable view of a 4‑star hotel.
