Monumento Hotel is a hotel with character. It’s not a 4‑star, but that’s balanced by: they speak French; a professional and very friendly reception; the room was ready at 12:41; good bedding; an excellent dinner; a superb breakfast; free parking closed by an electric gate; a 300 m walk to Chartreuse de Pavie. Arriving is easy: at the central traffic light of Certosa di Pavia, turn right. Take the first left road toward Villanova de Beretti. The place is large, the lady owner was very nice but the employee was less than helpful to a couple with disabilities like us🥲 Overcharged for the paucity of service. The employee showed no respect for an elderly couple tired after a long journey & forced us to change tables for bkfast , because that table apparently was not set up wno for bkfst, although it looked it to us She offered no help in our moving tables & was very disagreeable, not tge start of a gt holiday Also the hotel we chose originally had no wifi( which we requested & were promised by Booking. com. & the price had gone up by 20€!! Not acceptable. Sorry
