Opening the door onto the courtyard felt a little odd, and the room sat right next to the pub’s air‑con unit, which was really loud; the bed was also very hard.

The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was close to the relative we were visiting, but a walk‑in shower would have been preferable to the bath‑shower combo, a grab handle is needed in the current setup, bath towels are too small, and there were only a few tissues in the box.

The stay was very quiet, clean, and comfortable, but the pub closed because the staff were ill; one of the reasons we chose this spot was for a place to stay, eat, and drink, yet we had trouble locating the property— the postcode led me to a different location.

Late check‑out was awesome compared to many other places, the location and staff were friendly, the room was clean and cosy with plenty of tea and coffee facilities, and the bed was comfortable, though the Wi‑Fi was poor, which isn’t the property’s fault.
