We stayed in the loft room, which was roomy and stayed cool even though we visited when temperatures were in the high 20s. The shower area was new and good. Breakfast was very good, a typical French selection with plenty of food. We managed fine since we were only there for one night with little luggage, but the only way up is an original spiral staircase, so if you’re not physically fit or have a lot of big luggage, it could be a struggle.

Etienne was a great host and the house and grounds were exceptional, but the bedroom we used was a bit small and had little hanging space for clothes.

The welcome, the location, the charm of the house and the size of the rooms, access to the shared kitchen, and the reception of pets were all excellent. Nothing to complain about.

A warm and friendly welcome, a charming house in a great spot for a weekend by the Loire. It felt like staying with a family out in the countryside, and the value for the quality of service, accommodation, and price was truly outstanding. The only downside was the Senseo coffee machine, which could use an upgrade.
