The landlord was always available and kept an eye on us while we were on the terrace; the breakfast was generous for a French breakfast, and there was air‑conditioning on the second floor under the roof. However, there was no dinner served in the evening, so we had to ride our bicycles 14 km up‑hill to the next village and back; the manager should have been more relaxed, letting someone hand over the keys so we could lock the bikes in the garage; we could only take drinks from the vending machine with the landlord’s help.
