The location, Izumi's friendliness, and the traditional feel of the house were great, and the river view from the room was magical.

Staying at B&B Izumi was the best place we stayed in Japan. The room was very comfortable, had everything essential, and a small terrace overlooking the forest and stream—fantastic. Izumi-san is an excellent host; we felt cared for and could turn to him anytime. He is also extremely warm, courteous, and charming, and the breakfasts he prepared for us were delicious! Thank you so much for this wonderful time in Nikko!

This B&B had everything I wanted—a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the river, a great location near shrines and other attractions, and Izumi as a wonderful host. As a guest you can really see how he pours his heart into this B&B. Amazing breakfast, an introduction to Japanese culture, and great recommendations for tourist attractions. Thank you Izumi, I will definitely return for a second visit.
