Located in Warth, Kartause Ittingen is a former 800-year-old Charterhouse monastery turned unique hotel. Its extensive grounds feature a labyrinth garden, a private dairy producing 6 types of cheese, yoghurt, butter, and cream, and a restaurant serving local specialties. The hotel also produces its own wine. Modern rooms offer simplicity, free wired internet, and some feature a balcony overlooking the private park.

The place is extraordinary and surrounded by beautiful nature, the food is good, you can do a wine tasting without prior booking in the restaurant (5 wines for Fr. 20 per person), the amber beer is great, and the breakfast is varied, but the bed in double room 230 was far too narrow for two adults, probably only 160 cm.

The resort is very pretty with stylish rooms and excellent construction, the food at Restaurant Mühle is good, yet the church bell rang every half hour all night, ruining our sleep—maybe they could turn it off overnight?
