The place is fantastic and the staff is amazing. Dinners at The Terrace are excellent. As a light sleeper, the fog horn was not my friend.
“Well located for the swcp”
The location is great, the staff brilliant, and the food good. Even though the room was called “cosy”, the bed was narrow and there was very little space for our belongings. The bathroom was roomy and well appointed. It’s better to choose a larger room next time, but that comes at an extra cost.

“Great location but the hotel felt like "work in progress" in some areas”
The location on the coastal path is great, the staff very friendly, and the dinner and breakfast good. The room was small, as expected from the description, but the décor reminded me of Ikea or student halls, except for the bathroom which was of very high standard. Some common areas were a bit shabby, other areas looked somewhat tired, and the grounds seemed to need a gardener’s touch.

The room was advertised as a “King” room, but it was very small and the bathroom even smaller. The bath had at least 11 chips on the surfaces, which was unacceptable. The evening food was very good, but the menu options were very limited: non‑fish choices were a) Burger, b) Belly pork, and c) Giant salad. That’s not a great selection in my opinion. At breakfast you were limited to one hot dish; if you wanted porridge (which was excellent) you couldn’t have a cooked breakfast because both were on the hot menu. Porridge is a cereal like cornflakes.
