Everything was superb—a lovely room with a comfortable bed, many quaint features, and a fabulous view; the alfresco dinner under a stunning sunset, the village, and the impressive castle ruins were all delightful, and the staff were all charming and couldn't do enough for us.

It was a different experience, staying inside the castle walls was wonderful. The house is very cozy, the staff super attentive, the dinner was very good and the breakfast had a lot of variety. I recommend visiting because it’s exceptional; it was just a shame it was only one night but I’ll come back next time. Nothing to point out.

Lovely location in the old town of Castelo Rodrigo. Loved walking around the town after dark with no tourists. The ruins were beautifully lit and you have to see the sunset. The rooms were wonderfully spacious and had beautiful views! We just missed espresso coffee, but admitably we are coffee snobs! Breakfast was lovely. Wished we could stay longer.
