It gave me a nostalgic feeling. The building was from the Taishō era, but the noise from the neighboring rooms was disappointing.

The hotel was close to the station and convenient. The double‑storey bed was comfortable, and there was no background noise; the sound of trains passing nearby was pleasant. The renovation left some awkward spots that were hard to use. Lights went out at 10 pm, and after that I had to be careful not to make noise; the bath was difficult to open during this season, so I had to go back and forth between the room and the bathroom several times. My partner gave up on the bath. It would have helped to set a usage schedule. After the staff threw out the trash, they immediately opened the lid to check, which felt a bit intrusive. It might have been because it was the Obon season and the place was crowded. I’m grateful for the owner’s attentiveness. Thank you.

I liked that towels and the washing machine were available for free, and that the kitchen was open for use even though we chose not to use it, which I found handy. The living room served well as a shared space. On the downside, the sheet size was wrong, the sheet quality (polyester sheets that don’t absorb sweat, feeling unpleasant) was poor, the bathroom and room keys were flimsy, and the bathtub couldn’t be used.
