A great spot for staying with kids; I arrived in the evening for a single night and plan to return for a longer stay to explore the area. The coffee brewed in a siphon before checkout was delicious, making the last part of my visit very pleasant. Thanks.

A farm‑style homestead that’s easy to reach by bus from Gujo, and it’s by far the cheapest, best‑value option with a few village restaurants nearby. The owner runs a small on‑site bakery and café and was friendly; being a Japanese speaker probably helped. If you want to experience rural Japan, this place is worth a visit. The facilities aren’t Ritz‑level but comfortable, and the host made you feel welcome in the shared lounge.
