“disgusting”

The only thing I liked was the location. Everything else was absolutely abysmal. Check‑in was supposed to be at 3pm, which seemed kind of late, but when I arrived at 3:30 they told me to come back in 3 hours to check in. The attendants barely spoke any English and just kept pointing at little notes around the check‑in counter. When I finally got to my room I had to leave the door open because it smelled so horrible. The floor had crumbs of some kind and the sheets were foul. Luckily I still had camping gear in my car, so I threw all the sheets, blankets, and pillows in the corner and rolled out my sleeping bag. I would have gone to a different hotel, but it was already so late and there were no openings, and of course there were no refunds. All night there was constant activity in the parking lot, which I can only assume were drug deals. At the end of my stay I tried to return my key and get my deposit back, but nobody would respond to the office door buzzer. My last stay in Springfield I did notice they changed the name of the motel (probably to get away from the horrible reviews).

I wasn’t a fan of any of it. The room was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned before I got in. An obvious drink had been thrown at the wall, it smelled very musty, the bathroom sink was like a countertop held up by 2x4 bracing and a small little mirror way off to the side. The bathroom was gross, the water pressure was terrible, and there was no hot water. The bed was old, stained, and very gross, with no blankets—just a stained cover and one sheet. The door barely locked or closed; I could see daylight through it. The room looked like a crackhead had been living there for a while, and seeing people coming in and out all hours of the night confirmed that. They require a $50 cash deposit for some weird reason. The staff weren’t the nicest; I left my key in my room and asked the guy at the front desk to unlock it. He said yes, then walked out and completely walked into a room being remodeled, sat in the doorway for almost 20 minutes talking to another guy. When he walked back by I flagged him down and he said, “oh I’m sorry I forgot.” The stay wasn’t great; the bed was uncomfortable, the room was disgusting. They charged a bit for the accommodations. Terrible value for the money. Don’t stay here; seriously, it’s gross.

“I’d never recommend this place to anyone”

The location was fine, but the room was a nightmare: filthy, smelly, linens were spoiled, and flies were everywhere.

This was the main place I stayed when I had to be in Springfield, Missouri for business; every time I stayed there it was great, and the location was perfect.
