“Walking distance place in Mirissa with delicious breakfast and friendly staff”

The place was within walking distance to Mirissa town and the beach, with many cafés and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. It was good value for money for a short stay. The place was a bit dusty, and the bathroom had a slight odor.

“This was good for a guest house”

Good Wi‑Fi, comfortable beds, effective air conditioning, a nice balcony, and an excellent location right in the heart of Mirissa. Nothing else.

“Family - worst place ever stayed.”

We came as a family of four, but the hotel was far from what the listing promised. The room wasn’t clean, and the tea supplies were minimal—only two cups, two tea bags, and two sugar sachets, with one cup still holding a previous guest’s coffee. No cream or other add‑ons were offered. The staff consisted of just two elderly men who told us there would be no food on site, even though a large menu was displayed in the room. Breakfast was supposedly included; we were promised a fruit platter, toasted bread, sausages, bacon, omelette, and more, but the reality was just bread, omelette, jam, and butter. On top of that, the staff were unhappy when we asked about whale‑watching through a friend, claiming they handled it themselves for a commission. Don’t book here—this place feels like a scam.
