The water pressure in the bathroom was good and the toilets were clean, yet I can’t see what anyone could like here… it feels more like a Soviet sanatorium than a hotel. No air‑conditioning, no fan, dirty towels that aren’t bleached, and no amenities—absolutely not worth recommending.

We booked a twin‑bed room and were given a two‑room suite, which worked great for me and my teenage son; it had a small fridge, a TV, and after we asked they added a kettle and cups. There was no air‑conditioning, yet the room stayed cool and comfortable even in June when it was over 30 °C outside. Breakfasts were hearty – you could choose a sausage with sides or eggs, plus porridge, a bun and tea. The staff were polite, and we appreciated that checkout wasn’t fixed at noon but matched our arrival time – we checked in at 22:30 and left in the evening, which suited our late train. The location is decent, close to a park and the waterfront; it’s not downtown but a 20‑minute bus ride gets you there. Thanks to the team for their work! The linens could use a refresh, as some pieces were worn, and Wi‑Fi only reached the reception area, but neither issue spoiled the experience.

The grounds were huge and well kept, the breakfast was tasty and healthy, the location was superb, and the staff were friendly. The bed in the room was a bit disappointing.
