The pool was nice and right in the polo park area, close to a lot of shops and just a short walk from downtown. It felt a bit pricey for the quality; a continental breakfast would have been a nice touch.
The kids loved the slide, but the hot tub was broken, the water was cold, and the pool itself was dirty.
The air‑conditioning was loud and hard to control.
The pool and the water slide are nice. The room doesn’t ventilate, the windows are shut tight, there is no changing room in the pool area, the first floor smells bad, there’s no air freshener in the bathroom, no ventilation in the bathroom, no toilet brush, the hair‑dryer compartment is empty, the air‑conditioner has no night mode and is as loud as an airplane. The pillows are very firm, like hard springs, making sleep impossible.
“Terrible, horrible, would not stay again.”
The staff were kind and listened to our concerns, apologized for how terrible the stay was, and said they'd contact corporate. Still, the trip from Saskatchewan to Ontario turned into a nightmare: the hotel was chaotic on arrival, only one elevator worked, a luggage cart had flat tires, and the entrance doors were hard to get through. Noise was nonstop all night—guests yelling, banging, and crashing in the hallways, plus our room had a door to an occupied room so we could hear the commotion. None of us, not even our 9‑year‑old daughter, got any decent sleep, and the overall safety felt off with the agitation in the corridors. When we mentioned this at checkout, the front desk said security was supposed to do hourly rounds, but that didn't seem to happen. They promised to forward our complaints to management, and we’re following up to make sure they’re addressed. The stay completely ruined our plan to rest before another eight hours of driving, leaving us exhausted and disappointed. I wouldn’t stay here again.
