“Disappointing stay due to room discrepancies and an incorrect charge at check-out”
I booked a Deluxe Room but was given a Standard Double Room, which is a different price—something I later saw mentioned in many other comments. On the first morning, I went for breakfast and the receptionist, after checking twice, told me that breakfast was not included in my booking. Luckily I had a reservation that clearly stated “breakfast included.” At check‑out, on September 13 at 6:30 a.m., I had another unpleasant experience. The receptionist said I had to pay for a latte that I had never ordered. I tried to explain that I had not ordered it at any point during my stay and that there must have been a mistake. I had only had breakfast two of the four days, and I had simply had a coffee. He then tried to tell me that it was probably that coffee which had been recorded as a latte, because coffee was not included in the breakfast. No one had ever informed me of this, and in any case, I had had breakfast on two occasions. He also told me that the same thing had happened to a group of Korean guests before me: they apparently did not know they had an unexpected bill either, and although he was sorry, “that was what the system in the computer showed.” Given that this seemed extremely unfair and incorrect, I tried to explain that I had not ordered anything and that I did not want to pay for an error on their part. If the same issue had already happened to other guests, perhaps there is actually a problem. The whole situation honestly makes me wonder whether this was simply an attempt to overcharge me, or whether there is a serious problem with charges being incorrectly assigned to guests’ rooms. Unfortunately, it was simply their word against mine. Since I was in a hurry to get to the airport, I had no choice but to pay the amount they claimed I owed. I’m sorry, but these kinds of inaccuracies and unfair practices make me strongly advise against staying at this hotel.
