The owners run the place themselves, giving it a family‑run feel with genuinely warm hospitality. It’s within walking distance of the main station, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants, and Clapham’s vibe is undeniable. The area feels historic and culturally rich, and the property itself is beautiful, spotless and well organized.

“Extremely happy”

I booked for my family because the location was so close to where we were staying, even though it wasn’t a tourist hotspot I’d known before. They were delighted with every part of their visit, and everything turned out great.

“I traveled alone and therefore was a bit unsure but I felt very safe! The house is secured and the area is pretty safe.”

Everyone was very welcoming and kind, and I encountered absolutely no problems.

“Lovely people and convenient location, but extremely uncomfortable.”

The owners of Lavender Guest House were very hospitable, giving us a lovely welcome and making sure we had everything we needed. The guest house sits right next to the nicest part of Clapham, which is very convenient. I stayed in the Double Room with Private Bathroom, but it wasn’t particularly clean or comfortable. You could feel every spring in the bed, the pillows were extremely thin, and the room was on the top floor with a slanted floor that made it quite uncomfortable. It was just big enough for one person, with a tiny shower and a toilet in a cupboard inside the room, so it wouldn’t work for two people. The family who runs the place cares a lot, but the stay wasn’t worth it for me and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Le lieu est très propre et notre hôte absolument charmante. Quartier animé ds une rue calme. Proche métro. Cuisine propre, par contre vous ne pouvez pas cuisiner sur les plaques de cuisson. Uniquement micro ondes et grill pain plus bouilloire
