The rooms were clean and in good order. The high deposit rate hasn’t been refunded even after 12 bloody days—pathetic!

I arrived to find the property was a council house. I never checked in because the host wouldn’t give me access instructions unless I paid an extra deposit through an external link and sent my photo ID to a Gmail address, which felt like a phishing scam.

The bed was comfy, and chatting with the owner was quick and pleasant. But the noise in room 5 was a real headache—every conversation, music, and even intimate sounds seeped in, and the music kept going until at least 12 am. On top of that, the shower was dirty and left in bad shape.

They took my deposit and kicked me out for making noise, even though I was having a breakdown; they didn’t care, so I had to sleep on the street after being evicted.
