The check‑in went smoothly via online camera; the hostel’s reception was in a separate building of the Murasaki Hotels. My room was spacious, and the lounge area was also large. Free tea was available, and there were small takeaway baskets with shampoo for the bathhouses. A complimentary breakfast was offered in the other building, and the staff member gave us helpful travel tips. The hostel is very sound‑prone; although free earplugs are provided in the lounge, an old Japanese house makes it hard to stay quiet, and even moving softly is difficult because the floor on the first floor squeaks.

An authentic Japanese experience. The staff were very pleasant. Irene attended us very well and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. Bicycle service was good.

The atmosphere is exactly that of a ryokan: tatami floors, a cozy vibe, an inner garden, and so on. I was very satisfied with my overnight stay, and I would gladly return. Arriving on the night bus at 5 am, I had to wait until 8 am to enter because someone was leaving, and I had to drop off my luggage before check‑in. It would help to have a way to accommodate guests who arrive very early, especially since at that hour only convenience stores are open and none in the area offer a dedicated space to sit and have breakfast with what you bought.
