Muy limpio, la habitación amplia y cómoda, muy buena cocina, en el mismo centro de Mindelo, el trato familiar y muy cercano por parte de todo el personal, todo han sido facilidades. Volveremos pronto a Mindelo y volveremos al Royal 👏

The location is great, the staff are very friendly, the breakfast is plentiful and tasty, and the check‑out time is flexible. I also appreciated the air conditioning for sleeping and the little terrace for times when the sun isn’t out. Nothing to complain about.

They advertised breakfast as “included,” but it was never provided, and there was no water available at all. I asked for at least a partial refund, but they declined.

Being right in the city centre made it easy and safe to walk out at night, and the rooms were spacious enough for a family of four, with balconies offering a nice view of the main street—big on the third floor and smaller on the second. The staff were friendly, helpful and always ready to assist, while the continental breakfast was generous and met local standards. The legendary Café Mindelo sits on the ground floor, even though it was surprisingly empty. There’s nothing to complain about, but future guests should note there’s no elevator and the stairs are narrow with low ceilings, which can be tricky with luggage, and the central location means you’ll hear the usual city sounds—buses, pedestrians and music—which adds to the atmosphere but isn’t ideal if you need absolute silence.
