The place was clean and peaceful, but I was handed a higher‑floor unit for two days when I needed a downstairs room, making it difficult to go up and down the stairs.

The receptionist was very friendly, the bed was comfortable, the parking was secure, and the hotel was quiet; it was close by car to downtown New Orleans. The neighborhood was dirty and rough, but we didn’t encounter any problems; I almost turned back, yet everything went smoothly. We stayed for 2 days. The room was basic compared to other hotels at the same price, clean overall but the linens were stained, and the floor’s cleanliness was questionable even though it was tiled. I feel the 4‑star rating isn’t justified compared to other similarly priced or cheaper hotels. There was no kettle in the room and no breakfast (maybe I didn’t notice when booking), and no bedside lamp.

The value for money was good.

The bed was disgusting, stained with urine, and the front desk was rude and unprofessional; they let people sleep in the rooms instead of staying at the desk, refused to change sheets or towels, and the rooms smelled bad. Water was brown, the sink and toilet were clogged, the ceiling leaked, and the overall cleanliness was terrible.
