“Not very happy”

I had to enter my room at noon to get ready for my wedding, but I was told it wasn’t possible; I was very disappointed and had to prepare at the venue where everyone could see me. When I booked, the receptionist told me I was a senior and would receive a discount, but after a pause she said there were no available rooms, even though she had one for me earlier. That’s false advertising. I only chose this place because it was right next to where I needed to be. We returned to the room at 1:00 am exhausted, and when I showered a cockroach appeared, so I had to shout for my husband. Very disappointing. Back in 2021 I lived in Virginia and when I visited family I’d stay there; it was amazing then.

“We had a very wonderful stay.”

The staff were very friendly, the place was clean, and the breakfast was delicious. I’d give everything a 10, but the hot tub really upset us. We know things can go wrong, but we’re looking forward to it. We chose this place because it had a pool and a hot tub. The hot tub didn’t work on both days we were there, so we couldn’t use a pool, although the older guests wanted to use the hot tub.

A dog was whimpering in the room above us, and the staff called the owner to move back to his room. Afterward, the staff left us snacks and water bottles.

The location was fine, but the staff smoked right at the main entrance, so guests walking in or out had to pass through smoke, which was very unpleasant and disrespectful.
