A host who was very kind and took care of us from the start to the end. The breakfast was brilliant and the grandmother cooked a lovely evening meal for us. The apartment sits on a sweet quiet lane that ends at a river, with friendly neighbours who came out to say hello and children who gave me flowers! It’s conveniently close to the beautiful Uda Walawe park.

A lovely homestay near Udawalawe National Park. The owner was very helpful before and during our stay, arranging an afternoon safari for us before our arrival and an onward taxi to Ella after we left. The homestay is in a quiet area off the main road, fifteen minutes from the park. Dinner was fantastic and it was nice to stay in this family home. I would recommend the three‑hour safari; the extra two hours offered may not be necessary. Everything was perfect.

Large family home in a beautiful garden setting away from the road. Very peaceful and quiet. Hosts were very welcoming and helped with a safari and a driver for onward travel. Lovely home cooked breakfast and we had dinner as well. Fifteen minute drive to Udawalawa national park and the safari did not disappoint. We saw many different animals including spotted deer, mongoose, monkeys crocodiles buffalo and elephants. 0
