After a long day of traveling, I arrived at the hotel in the evening and was greeted by an older gentleman at the table who looked up and said, “Ciao Ute, willkommen!” I was completely exhausted, which was understandable 😊 There was no familiar face; the maître simply kept an eye on his bookings. The restaurant food is worth recommending, and the breakfast was modestly Italian—though the freshly made scrambled eggs had bacon exactly as it should be! (In most hotels you get that meat patty that just wobbles in a pot). We wanted to leave early, but sleeping longer was difficult because of the church and its bells nearby.

Breakfast was partially served and excellent. The hotel’s restaurant offers great food. We arrived at 15:00 to find the hotel closed and had to wait in the scorching sun, but a phone call let us in. The location is next to the train station and behind a shopping center and a garden centre. The room was a bit cramped and “individual” in its furnishings.

The Locanda turned out to be a surprisingly nice place in a practical setting! The staff were very eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. There was a lockable space for our bicycles. Dinner was excellent, and the served breakfast included, among other things, perfect fried eggs! The elevator should never be used; it’s hard to operate and is meant only for staff.
