The place was poorly maintained, and I had to be moved because the main light wouldn’t turn off. Staff attitudes were bad, and the cleanliness score was 4/10; if it hadn’t been so late, I would have gone home.

The room was filthy, the bathroom was dirty with limescale on every tap, and the locker was held together with sellotape. The staff were unhelpful and rude.

The spa facilities and pool were good. The bed was hard and the pillows were flat. The restaurant food was not nice; the prawns were overcooked. There was no heating in the room in the evening; when I turned it up, it blew out cold air. When I told the staff I didn’t sleep well, they gave zero recognition.

The staff were always friendly, the pool and spa facilities were great, and I always stay at the Continental when I’m around Heathrow airport; it’s easy to get to from the tube.
