The central location in a lovely town, interesting prints, old furniture, friendly welcome, and plenty of parking just outside the house opposite the church were great; there was no garden but a town park nearby. The title and lack of an outside photo made it seem like a manor house, but it’s actually an elegant townhouse. The antique bed had a very comfortable mattress but was designed for shorter people; I’m six feet tall and couldn’t stretch out. You have check‑boxes from a long list to specify exactly which items you want for breakfast the next day, which is unusual, and there’s a specific time slot at half‑hour intervals so book your slot as soon as you can; the dining room is just for you and the hot food leaves at that start time, so if you’re five minutes late it goes cold.

Everything was perfect.

The place sits right in the village centre, and the room was spacious with a very large private bathroom that had a good shower. In the garden there’s a secure storage area for bicycles, and the walk to the excellent Restaurant Louis is short. When we needed a new plug for our battery charger, the host was very helpful. Nothing else to mention.
