“PAGUE MUCHO POR POCO”
The food quality was very low, portions were tiny, and both breakfast and restaurant meals were very limited.

The à la carte food was good.

It’s a great place to stay in Nuevo Vallarta, with staff who are very friendly from reception to all other areas; I simply loved it and would return without hesitation. I would add more music at the infinity pools that are right by the sea.

I was deeply disappointed, especially as a frequent Fiesta Americana guest. I booked and paid for 7 nights in a room with a partial sea view. Upon arrival, they confirmed it was my room but placed me on the 7th floor of Tower 2, whose balcony faces the city/jungle. When I asked for a solution, the response was that the system classifies the room as “partial sea view” because you can see the sea from a corner of the balcony. I paid for a partial sea view, not to hunt for the sea from a corner. The room was also quite worn: a peeling, dirty shower, lack of maintenance, poor cleaning, missing towels and soap on several occasions, and dishes that could stay in the room for hours. The pools were dirty and sometimes had murky water; some had to be closed. The beach area had dirty loungers and trash. Elevators were wet, smelly, poorly ventilated, and clearly deteriorated. During a severe storm, we had a very unpleasant experience at one of the restaurants. Several families waited about 45 minutes in the rain, even though indoor tables were available, because they said they lacked staff. When we finally entered, we only received the entrance because the kitchen closed without prior notice. Returning to the lobby, it was flooded. I understand a storm isn’t the hotel’s fault, but what bothered me was the lack of support for guests at that moment.

The hotel feels comfortable and quiet, and the rooms are fine, but the buffet is thin and the restaurants are often closed, so if there are five you might only find two or three open on any given day. The café sometimes runs out of stock and gets unbearably hot because the air‑conditioning doesn’t work and the machines inside add to the heat, making it a miserable place for staff to work. They’re short‑handed, and I respect the few who try to fix things. There are no self‑serve snacks like chips or burgers; you can order them but the delivery takes a long time. There is a kiosk that sells burgers, but you have to pay for them separately. Even though the hotel is comfortable, I won’t return because a stay without decent food just doesn’t feel worthwhile.
