“Una seconda casa al mare”

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights to use it as a base for exploring southern Sicily (Marzamemi, Pachino, Vendicari reserve). Cozzo Spadaro B&B feels like home, with a generous breakfast every morning—snacks, biscuits, milk, coffee—and the option to change towels daily. The room was quite spacious with a large bathroom. The kitchen had everything except a stove. Giovanna was extremely friendly and quick to answer any request. The highlight was the outdoor space with loungers and a patio fully available for guests to sunbathe or read. Very nice. The location is a bit remote, so you need a car to get there. That was fine for us, but the area gets very hot, so it’s not recommended in August even though each room has its own air‑conditioner.

The location is fine. The shared kitchen doesn’t allow proper hygiene, and the breakfast promised in the brochure is basically a basket in the room with two packaged croissants, four slices of toast, two coffee pods, and long‑life milk—ridiculous for the price paid! There are practically no towel hangers in the bathroom, so you have to “camp”—ridiculous, especially given the cost.

The location is great, especially being surrounded by a peaceful oasis. The staff’s welcome and kindness were fantastic, and the room was clean and spacious.
