Perched on a hilltop 8 km from Greve in Chianti, Rifugium overlooks vineyards and olive groves, featuring a salt‑water infinity pool and outdoor hot tub. Rooms and self‑catering apartments showcase terracotta floors, wood‑beamed ceilings, and traditional furniture, with natural‑material mattresses, free Wi‑Fi, and flat‑screen TVs. Guests enjoy a daily Tuscan buffet, an on‑site shop, and summer karaoke nights.

An amazing gem in the Tuscan hills around Chianti. Exceptional facilities—pool, jacuzzi, grill, table tennis, etc.—all very well maintained. Great view in a quiet environment. A little off the beaten path.

The view from the terrace was extraordinary. Daniele (host) also gave many great tips for restaurants nearby. There is no food at the accommodation, but our room had a kitchen.

The owner is really super friendly and takes the time to explain everything. He also gives tips about wineries and restaurants. The view from the apartments is breathtaking, above the Tuscan hills. The trip from Greve up there is a bit of a drive, haha. Some steering skill is required. And to complain… the price/quality ratio didn’t feel right.

The place is far from the noise, the host is caring, and the property is well maintained with beautiful views, but it’s really high and far away and there are no breakfasts.
