“Todo bien pero discutida quinta estrella”
The location is great, but the cleaning left a few items looking a bit old.

Hotel Patio Andaluz, a boutique national monument in Quito, blends 16th‑century colonial elegance with modern comfort. Its vaulted arches, sunlit courtyards, and vibrant gardens create a warm, artistic ambiance. Located 150 m from Plaza de la Independencia, it offers easy access to historic churches, museums, and Teatro Sucre. Guests dine at El Rincón de Cantuña and enjoy exclusive tapas in the Marquez de Jerez wine cellar.

It was a wonderful spot in the historic district, easy to walk to the Basilica and the archaeological museum, which was fascinating. The hotel itself was beautiful and has a long, interesting history.
