It’s close to the square where DJ Molella performed and the breakfast is superb, but the coffee machine doesn’t work well.

The spot is fairly central yet tucked away enough to stay quiet. We hit a few snags with the room’s equipment, but the host was quick to fix everything and I appreciated their proactive attitude. The accommodation had a small balcony with a drying rack—essential for travelers on the Matera route like us. Breakfast at the partnered bar (Bistrot) was good.

The location is ideal for reaching Matera, Alberobello, and the Castellana Caves. The room was clean and welcoming, and the mattress was just right for our delicate backs. The staff were friendly and took care of us. Breakfast relies on two nearby bars; we always went to the bistrot for the excellent brioches. The only downside was that the drying rack was missing clips; a small iron would have earned us five stars, since we often travel with slightly wrinkled luggage.
