The place offers self‑catering: if you don’t want to be at a breakfast buffet at a fixed time and don’t expect a lavish spread, the communal kitchen is very suitable. In the low season it was great; centrally located and everything within walking distance. On request, staff arrive, though their thoroughness isn’t necessary. The downside is that some guests take their purchased products back with them. A few times a clear warning about possible exceeding of the minimum shelf‑life date would be welcome (it concerns sauces or canned goods).

The host was very friendly and accommodating in every way. The kitchen and bathrooms were in an excellent, clean condition. The location in the tourist area of Heimbach was close to the centre yet pleasantly quiet on a side street.

The location was great, the kitchen and fridge were fine, and the bathrooms varied nicely. Unfortunately, on the first night someone decided to spend two hours in the kitchen in the middle of the night. I’d suggest putting a sign in the kitchen saying no cooking or washing dishes after 22:00 and before 07:00. The house is quiet otherwise, so overall it was very good!

I had a very nice time in Heimbach. The guesthouse Heimatliebe has a large communal kitchen and several shared bathrooms. Everything was very clean and nicely furnished. The first few days were unfortunately very loud because I had unpleasant neighbours who didn’t observe the night‑time quiet. The guesthouse helped me, so the later nights were calmer. It is a bit noisy and a loud travel group.
