“One night in Janpa Resort”

The beach location is fantastic and close to the ferry piers. The room air‑con is a blessing. Staff are very friendly and happy to help in any way they can. The room is very clean with all basic necessities. The bed is very comfortable and I slept very well to the sound of the sea. The décor of the beach rooms is tired, and the bathroom could use an overhaul or at least descaling. We were advised that we would have to pay more for extra pillows. Breakfast was at a local bar, fair but with no details of what you were having and we had no drink.

I woke up at 6 am to full daylight in my room because there were no blackout curtains, and the mattress was old and misshapen. The shower had no water pressure.

“Würd ich nicht mehr buchen.”

The pool was nice, but the hotel was empty and we didn’t get a good room. We wanted to switch, but the nicer rooms by the pool were the same price and we couldn’t change rooms on request.

The ferry is great—just a 5‑minute drive—and the beach is awesome. The pool is good. However, the mattress was the worst I’ve ever slept on in Thailand, the breakfast was bad, the room looked outdated, and the air‑conditioner motor was very loud.

I didn’t like anything. The staff don’t speak English, the reception closes early, the beds are uncomfortable, and the breakfast is served amid a swarm of ants.
