The hotel sits in Hanoi’s old centre, within walking distance of the main sights. The room I got had no window and was at the back of the building; we asked for an upgrade but the cost wasn’t clear. The new room was spacious with a window and a balcony, but the door wouldn’t lock and was full of gaps, so there was a lot of noise.

The staff were welcoming and attentive. The room I used was spacious and fairly well insulated. The hotel is very well located and the breakfast is really good.

The place was okay, the breakfast was fine, but the property needs an update and was unrealistically dusty. I could only sit on the toilet sideways because there was no room in the bathroom, it was small and had no window. I wouldn't recommend it for a comfortable stay; the hotel doesn’t seem to know how it got its name. The dirt and small size made it fail to meet hotel standards.
