The hotel sits in a great spot and stays quiet despite the number of rooms. The rooms could be a bit larger, though they are well organized. The rooftop bar never opened during our stay, which was disappointing.

There were plenty of nice features: it was clean, the ventilation/AC/heat was terrific, and the design was good, but it wasn’t really a bargain. Compared to other options, it isn’t expensive, just not a bargain.

The location was great, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I liked that they offered bikes and helmets for the day. The toilet inside the shower made the bathroom a bit awkward to use, and I wish there had been more hangers for clothes. I know NYC is expensive, but the nightly price was a bit high for the amenities provided.

The rooms were cozy, clean, and the front desk was helpful; the attached restaurant served good food and the service was great with a fun vibe. The location was very central. When I was checking out, a front‑desk staff member asked how I was getting to the airport; I said I hadn’t worked it out yet, and he offered a taxi for $115 cash or $120 on card. Later I returned to the desk and the same staff member asked the same question again; I gave the same answer. I ended up booking the hotel’s taxi that afternoon, even though Uber was $72 and seemed more reliable, but I was wrong. The taxi was old and uncomfortable, and when I reached the airport the driver tried to charge me $145 and then tutted at me when I said I’d been told it was $120. It was not a good experience; I should have just used Uber as I normally do.
