“Fijne plek om te verblijven in Angra”
The room was very spacious, brand new, and came with delicious cakes ready for us and a friendly welcome note. Apart from the cleaning lady we occasionally met, who was very nice, we didn’t see anyone else. Frankly, we didn’t miss that. The bed was wonderful, and the central location in the town was great. There are plenty of cafés nearby for breakfast, and the small beach is close by. The only real let‑down was that we expected a hotel but there was no reception; you had to unlock yourself with a code. A key was left at the desk, so everything else worked automatically. The bathroom is fine, but the shower screen is attached to the side of the tap, so you can only turn it on when you climb into the tub, which is a bit awkward. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but parking near the hotel is a nightmare. The best option is to drive to the parking lot at Monte Brasil and walk to the hotel, but that’s already a quarter‑hour walk, so it’s not ideal with luggage.
