The breakfast was enjoyable.

The bar staff were always polite and courteous, but that was not enough. We arrived with high hopes, only to be asked for the tourist tax even for our 9‑year‑old children; after pointing out the exemption the amount was corrected, but it left a sour taste. The room we booked, a Familiare Superior, looked like a warehouse split into rooms with drywall. There was no balcony or window, just a tiny skylight and cement glass; the bathroom was dark with a vent. One and a half bed was carved out of a cramped, windowless loft that was practically unusable at nearly 40 °C. The mattresses and pillows were of very low quality. For four people there was only one chair and a tiny, flimsy towel rack, inadequate for towels and swimsuits. In the room there were broken slippers with ants, the common areas had cracked drywall, missing spotlights with dangling wires, a stale, damp smell, and countless mosquitoes. The minibar was broken; we were offered to keep drinks at the external bar, meaning I had to leave in my pajamas at night if the bar was open. After a nasty argument with rude, aggressive staff, another fridge finally arrived. Breakfast was poor: only coffee, cappuccino, and croissants were acceptable; yogurt was already opened and exposed, cereals were in uncovered bowls, and there were plain toast and Nutella. It ran only from 8:30 to 10, so we missed breakfast when leaving early for excursions. Linen and towel changes were every three days; an extra change cost 8 €. The surroundings were degraded: a small, crowded beach, unpaved, pothole‑filled streets, dust, untamed vegetation, and mosquitoes. We spent about 1,000 €. The feeling was that the guest mattered only while paying, then became a nuisance, as if they were doing you a favor. A hospitality training for the managers would be advisable.
