“A great away day at Wrexham AFC”
The place is great for visiting Wrexham AFC.
“Convenient but unfriendly stay (previous stay in March was different experience) definitely not 4 star experience”
The spot was good and the rooms were spotless, with a tidy cleaning crew, yet the receptionist/manager acted dismissively and didn’t engage or greet me, which made me feel uneasy as a solo female traveler; breakfast was average, and the staff seemed unhelpful— I had to ask for coffee and then search for milk again, indicating a lack of customer‑service training, though some staff were friendly.

Functional
“Don't expect too much!”
It’s close to the football pitch and the reception staff were very helpful, but we paid extra for an executive room that turned out not to be executive at all—just a large room with a queen‑size bed, which was the only positive; the room felt dated and dusty, had only two coffee sachets and no herbal tea, the bathroom was dirty with a previous guest’s bottle left in the shower, and the toilet seat was broken— definitely not worth £190 for two people for one night.
“We will be returning!”
The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was huge compared to London hotels that feel cramped, the bed and duvet were very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and modern, the shower had excellent pressure and easy temperature control, the TV was great for downtime, the fridge was very handy, and parking was free and easy—thanks for a wonderful stay!
