When I arrived, the bed and pillows immediately gave off a strong sweat odor. I asked for the sheets and pillowcase to be swapped, but the smell persisted even after the change. It was so noticeable that I had to drape a bath towel over the affected part of the bed and pillow to make it tolerable. I know problems happen, yet this should have been checked before the room was handed over. I was already exhausted from travel and had no energy to keep discussing it with reception.

The room was fine, but the toilet was too old to use and the tap water in the sink needed maintenance. The internet connection was terrible; we never managed to connect all night. I asked the staff online, and she told me to try again, but it still didn’t work. The front staff was not very accommodating.

The staff were helpful, nothing more. The room smelled damp and mouldy, and the pool was murky so I didn’t use it.

The staff were very friendly and helped us with everything, making the stay feel very homey and comfortable; we’ll definitely come back and I recommend it. Free breakfast would have been great.
