The day I arrived the weather was good and I had a great view from the windows of my room. The hotel is not modern and has some character like the wooden floors which are uncommon in Brazil and the nice windows and shuttering the room. The stairwell and lounge area featured some nice marble. 8The double bed was comfortable and the shower good. The Managers were friendly and provided a good breakfast. If you are without a car be prepared for a decent walk up the hill but the view is worth it. The place mats at the breakfast table looked grubby and are best got rid of. I noticed some of the paint work was in a poor state and needs to be worked on

The breakfast was solid and the staff were friendly, plus the location was spot on. However, the condition of the rooms and common areas didn't match the glossy photos on the website – they looked better online than in person.

The room was surprisingly spacious, which I appreciated. Unfortunately the shower struggled to stay hot and the noise level was pretty high throughout the night.
