The place is super comfy, spotless, and tucked away nicely. Beyond the absolute satisfaction with the property, I must point out how top‑tier the help, friendliness, readiness, and warmth of everyone from Mrs. Reiko to the whole crew were. I felt truly at home, literally pampered from the moment I stepped into Utena until the instant I had to say goodbye. I strongly recommend anyone wanting a stay in Izu, even with their four‑legged friend, to book at Utena because, while Japanese hospitality is proverbially kind, what you get at Utena surpasses that. 10 out of 10!

The owner’s personality is great, so I felt safe staying there. They were gentle when I arrived and when I left, which made me very happy. The room was a lovely space exactly like the photos, letting me relax comfortably. I used it for a single night, and there were no inconveniences with the facilities, so I had a comfortable stay.

The owner and the staff were kind from the welcome to the departure, treating me politely throughout. Because I have a dog and wanted to eat in the room, they brought the meal to the room. They left the plates for us and set up a table near the door. It was very comfortable. All the staff love dogs, and they treated the dogs I brought with kindness. Thank you very much.

The room is very pretty and clean! The bed smells nice, the way to get there is also very easy to find, and it’s very close to the attractions I want to visit (Daishiroyama and Kinosaki Coast), which is very convenient ~ The host is super friendly and super gentle ~ I had a very happy stay!
