Located in picturesque Long Whatton, The Royal Oak is a 10-minute drive from East Midlands Airport and 10 minutes from Loughborough city centre. This Leicestershire countryside hotel features spacious rooms with private modern bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and free luxury toiletries. The hotel offers a restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and a traditional pub serving real ales and local produce.

The breakfast was slow coming out, but apart from that the stay was fab. Breakfast took 30 minutes to come out and we had an early appointment.

The location was ideal for a wedding just down the road. The hotel was very welcoming, and the rooms and dining area were decorated to a high standard. The breakfast selections at the front could have been better – juices weren’t labelled, and there was no fruit or yogurts. The cooked breakfast was perfect.

A spacious, comfy room that was spotless, with a great bed and a superb shower. Both dinner and breakfast were tasty, so I’ll definitely come back.
