The hotel sits a bit back from the road and near the water, but the sargassum grass had a nasty smell.

The room was nicely decorated and cozy, but for the $300+ a night for a premium “ocean view” it turned out to be mostly a palm‑tree view, not worth it. If you book one of these, ask for a 3rd or 4th floor room or your view will be partly blocked; definitely skip the 1st floor. We stayed in room 101 at the end of the block and had a very noisy window A/C unit. We couldn’t relax on our balcony because a very drunk woman was loudly arguing with her husband and dropping f‑bombs nonstop… she finally passed out after a few hours, but by then we had to leave for dinner.

We grabbed breakfast from the store a few times and liked it. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful, and we adored the resident cat! The view from our room was beautiful.
