The location is spectacular and the castle’s human‑sized layout lets you explore every corner, starting with the garden‑level pool and the terrace pool on the 4th floor overlooking Mont Canigou. Our room was gorgeous, well‑decorated, and very comfortable. Breakfast—special thanks to the attentive lady of service—was delicious, clearly crafted by a genuine pastry chef. The bar is a must‑try: you have to sample the artisan ice creams! I have nothing negative to add and see no glaring shortcomings—perhaps an Italian shower? but in a castle, would that fit?

The hotel is super nice and the staff is great. The spa was supposed to be there, yet it’s located in another hotel with no free slots for any treatment, which was pretty disappointing when you expect a spa stay.

Beautiful location with a view of Mont Canigou! The staff are helpful and friendly, the kitchen is ambitious, creative, very good, and mainly uses regional products. The rooms are cleaned superbly and come with everything needed—nothing is missing.
