I liked how roomy the room felt and the shower was solid, plus the fridge, bottled water, games and a tiny workout corner were a nice touch. The location feels a bit isolated, so as a solo woman I was uneasy returning to the area at night because Ipoh is pretty quiet there.

This place is genuinely pleasant to stay at; it’s small‑scale, and the room and bathroom are very tidy and coolly decorated. The owners are extremely friendly and their downstairs restaurant is definitely worth a try. We could also use the washing machine and dryer for a small fee, which was very handy. It’s a bit farther from the city centre, but that can be easily fixed by taking a grab or walking.
